About Us
Target Leadership is powered by two former military aviators who share their harrowing tales in engaging and inspirational keynotes to high profile clients across the country.
Target Leadership’s dynamic leadership safety speakers Jeff “Odie” Espenship and Wes “Dahmer” Sharp are two of the most sought after motivational presenters with a proven track record inspiring employees at all levels to embrace the culture leadership safety processes and procedures in the workplace.
Founded by Jeff “Odie” Espenship, a former USAF A-10 “Thunderbolt” fighter pilot and current international airline pilot, and his speaking partner Wes “Dahmer” Sharp deliver non-preachy-edutainment style of speaking that will “make you laugh, make you cry, and make you laugh again. ” They use their personal and professional tragedies and triumphs as a springboard to kickoff any corporate meeting, or use them closing keynote speakers to “keep the message alive” long after the meeting is over!
“We touch everyone emotionally!” says Odie, “They might forget 90% of what we said, but they will never forget how we made them feel!” Dahmer makes sure everyone appreciates who they are as a leader personally and professionally as a leader. “Many times, we fail to appreciate the size of the shadow we cast when we walk into a room or on the job,” say Dahmer. By sharing significant life events with your team, both Odie and Dahmer are well equipped to drive home the power of pursuing perfection and achieving excellence at all levels.
Progress Energy Florida reported a 48% reduction in personal injuries and a 42% reduction in vehicle accidents after working with Odie.
AES Corporation plant achieved 12 months without a single recordable OSHA injury after several Target Leadership workshops and keynotes.
Admiral Merchants Motor Fleet CEO called Odie’s message “marvelous” and “exceeded expectations”.
Other satisfied clients include ExxonMobil Companies, General Electric, The Southern Companies, NASA, Entergy, Chevron, Valero Corporation, Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), Behavioral Science Technologies (BST), and trade organizations such as VPPPA, ILMA, IEEE, IBEW, and NSC.
Odie has written numerous articles for safety magazines such as Incident Prevention. He has been interviewed by OSHA’s BLR newsletter because his message is so “distinctively different” and “receives a lot of ‘BUZZ’ after a presentation.” Odie has helped produce, write, and appear in numerous safety-leadership training DVDs for corporations like Pennsylvania Power and Light, Michelin Tire, and CLECO.
